Welcome to the Catch'em Blog
Where Passion Meets Purpose
First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to visit! I've been meaning to start this blog for years, and like many creatives, I kept putting it off—telling myself I'd get to it "later." But as we grow, we realize time isn’t something we can take for granted. So here it is—finally. A space to share my journey, my passion, and hopefully, inspire others to pursue the work they truly love.
If you're a small business owner looking to elevate your brand, attract more clients, or simply figure out how to stand out visually, you're in the right place. My goal with this blog is to not only share my experience but also offer tips, insights, and real-world strategies around branding, design, photography, and organic marketing—so you can grow your business with confidence.
My career began in retail. I spent 17 years working at H-E-B, one of the most respected companies in Texas. It taught me invaluable lessons in customer service, consistency, and work ethic—lessons I still use every day in my creative business. (I’ll save that journey for a future post.)
While driving across the Rio Grande Valley from store to store, I started noticing something: poorly designed business signs everywhere. I realized there was a huge opportunity to help local businesses look better—and ultimately, do better. That’s what sparked the idea for Catch’em Design.
While still working full-time, I enrolled in Digital Media Design at TSTC in Harlingen, TX. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. What started with an interest in signage turned into a full-blown passion for graphic design, branding, and photography.
Funny enough, my wife also played a big role in this creative spark. Watching her perfect her makeup technique and seeing the confidence it gave her made me realize that design—in any form—is powerful. It’s about transformation. It’s about expression. And it’s deeply personal.
So here it is: my first blog post. A small but meaningful step toward sharing what I’ve learned and helping others discover the kind of work that lights them up too.
Let’s grow, create, and Catch’em all—together.
